CROSSROADS MUSIC FESTIVAL
In Autumn 2025, Crossroads Music Festival brought Cricklewood alive with music, creativity and community spirit. Across two vibrant weekends, the festival transformed the neighbourhood into a stage – filling cafés, pubs, community spaces and outdoor locations with the sounds of over 100 musicians from more than 25 acts.
Celebrating the richness of Cricklewood’s cultural diversity, the festival showcased predominantly grassroots artists, many from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, representing musical traditions from across the world. From intimate indoor gigs to lively outdoor performances, audiences discovered new music in unexpected places while artists gained valuable paid performance opportunities and reached new listeners.
The response was overwhelmingly positive. Local residents, families and visitors travelled from across London to experience the festival’s welcoming atmosphere and diverse programme. Participatory events such as the Open Mic and Community Drumming Circle brought people together, while pop-up performances and the festival’s live radio station takeover extended the music beyond the streets into homes across the city.
In total, the festival reached thousands of people through live events, radio broadcasts and digital platforms, helping to strengthen connections between artists, venues and audiences. Several musicians secured follow-on bookings, venues attracted new audiences, and new creative collaborations began to emerge.
Crossroads Music Festival didn’t just present great music — it helped reignite Cricklewood’s live music scene, proving the power of grassroots culture to bring communities together and create lasting opportunities for artists.
Special thanks to Cricklewood Town Team and Arts Council England for their support in making the festival possible.
